Looking for advice on which garmin model is better with maps of N.America & Eorupe

I have a 670 Garmin with N. America & Europe maps, but this model was discontinued sometime ago and now I am looking to replace it with a newer an identical model setup.
Garmin has a few models, but I would like if any members have them and how they enjoy them when in use.

no choice

There is no choice in models with both NA and Europe maps. Right now there is only one model listed by Garmin that has both maps. It is nüvi® 2475LT.

And what is wrong with your unit? Buy map update and it will be working fine. You will only need to move one of maps to external card, as they will not fit together after updates. Update for join NA and EU maps is cheaper than separate updates.

Other solution is to buy any unit ant then purchase missing map separately. It will need to go on external card of course, but it will work.

Garmin has a site to help

https://buy.garmin.com/shop/shop.do?cID=134
This is the link for the site from Garmin to help you make a choice in a new Garmin

I have the 2450 and love it. Have no need for traffic or other stuff but the 2460 is like the 2450 with more stuff. Look at the garmin purchase assistant in the link above. It may help you. Also after you find one on the list you like make a search on here to see if anyone has talked about it, or do a post.

Also, Welcome to this site.

Thanks for the help

Thank you for your explanation. My gps 670 is going to be outdated and I think does not support intersections on the new maps. I appreciate your opinions.

Thanks for the info. I didn't know Garmin still had any units which had Both Eu and AM maps on it. When I looked on the Garmin site, it did not show it being pre-loaded with both mapsets. I only saw it for Europe.

The last one I knew of was the 775.

If you have one of these units which came "pre-loaded" with both maps, you can buy a LIfetime Map Update which updates BOTH the Europe and American Maps. But the only place you can get that lifetime update subscription for both is directly from Garmin.

Actually there are TWO active Nuvi's that come pre-loaded with the NA & Europe maps. The 2370LT and the 2475LT, both with lifetime traffic but NO map updates. The 2475 is selling at Amazon for 200.00 and the 2370 for 240.00. You can compare them here:

Nuvi 2460LMT 2 Units

How about a refurbished 775t?

I will admit a bias to the older models which play MP3s. I have a 885t, 765t, and 760. The 775t is like my 765 except it has maps of Europe. I bought the 765t and 885t as refurbs. I don't see the difference from a new unit. I've had the 765t for at least a year and the 885t for several years. The 765t and 775t are touch screen, 4.3 inch, and have bluetooth. At one time they were considered to be arguably the top of the Garmin line. Here's a link to a refurb 775t for $170:

The 765/775 have the newer next turn in the upper left style screen which I really like. All my nuvis also support routes you can design in Basecamp (or other software but I don't think they work as well) and import to the nuvi. The newer models also do not do that. I plan to stick with my older nuvis for the forseeable future. I see some nice features in the newer models but none I want bad enough to give up the MP3s and routes.

I have the...

Garmin Nuvi 775, and have had super luck with it, finding it very easy to use, and in Europe, it's amazing!

Very easy

You are right having both maps in one unit is excellent if you travel often. The problem is that these units have LT and I can not see which ones have LMT for both NA and Europe.
