Just noticed today I have been a member for 4 years 4 weeks.Guess I must be a old timer.
Any one with 3 years or more please post.Just to see how many are still hanging around and for how long?

Over 12 years is hard to believe
Hard to believe I have passed 12 years on this site. I joined in 2007 in anticipation of a cross country trip with my daughter. We still remember that trip and how our Garmin made the journey much easier than relying on my 15-year-old's navigation skills.

10 years & 11 weeks. Started out with a StreetPilot 2620 GPS which I purchased in April 2005 to use with our first RV.
Screen was small, but it was a great unit.

Recalculating
While many seem to love the fact that the garmin no longer says "recalculating", I for one miss it. You can be driving along and completely miss an exit and not even realize it.
The result can be driving far out of your way as you may miss multiple recalculates.
Wish they had simply put in an option that would allow the purchaser to turn off the audio portion if they chose to do so.
