Discounts on new Garmin line.

I just ordered a Nuvi 2495LMT for $212, including shipping. I used an Electronics Expo coupon code found at: http://www.couponshare.com/popup/500127

How reputable is the seller

I can't tell whom this coupon is for. Is it for some internet company called Electronics Expo? How is their return policy?

Great price by the way. Thanks for the info.

Seller appears ok at point of sale

I have no prior experience with Electronics Expo. Problem with address verification with the credit card company slowed the order fullfillment. Electronics Expo promptly emailed me and I followed up with a phone call that resolved problem. UPS verfied shipment two days after original order. Very acceptable to me. They also sell through Amazon. You can check their return policy at their web site:

32% Off ?

Checked the Garmin site for model 2495LMT, they list the suggested retail price as $229.99.

If my math is correct the price should be much lower than the 212.00 you paid if the coupon claims 32% off.

Still a fair price since Amazon is selling at retail price of 229.99 with free shipping, but you have to add tax to that. I hope you are happy with your purchase and the unit is everything you expected.

fuzzy math

Not sure how the coupon site got the percentage. Discount was $24 and shipping was $7. I've always been able to buy Garmins at a good discount but the new units seem to be selling for list.

Maybe It's Marketing Math

Not always selling for list.
I am considering buying the 2460LMT, basically the same as the 2495LMT only has the larger 5" screen and 1/2 longer battery life. That unit lists for 299.99. On October 7th Amazon had them on sale for 199.99, unfortunatly I read the post too late and missed the limited sale.

I'll be patient and wait a bit, perhaps Black Friday will bring some really good deals. One thing is for certain, when buying electronics, they will always become cheaper when new products are introduced. If you keep waiting you will never buy it. You made the right choice, if it's what you want and performs as expected, then the price you pay is a mute point.

The new anything are usually sold for list for a few months....then competition usually sets the competitive pricing...same with cameras, tv's, etc.
