Map Update 2012.20 Has 4 Fewer Files Than Previous Updates

Didn't find any mention when I searched this site, but as I began to back up the downloaded files from this update, I noticed there were 2 .cab and 2 .msi files missing, when compared to earlier updates. The difference is also reflected in each update's SetupLog.txt file (Check the last few entries that begin "Starting download of ...").
Missing from 2012.20
...\Local Settings\Temp\IMG\Disk_32.cab
...\Local Settings\Temp\IMG\Disk_64.cab
...\Local Settings\Temp\IMG\USB_32.msi
...\Local Settings\Temp\IMG\USB_64.msi
Not sure there's any negative impact as a result--just sharing an observation.

Did you notice if the file sizes are very different for the remaining files?
After Checking
CNNANT20YY_nnUpdate.msi appears to change by only a few KB with each version.
At least for mine, Disk1.cab varies as noted
2011.20 = 87,948 KB
2011.30 = 88,000
2011.40 = 88,803
2012.10 = 88,948
2012.20 = 90,603
And FWIW, those 4 missing files appear to be the same size in each update prior to 2012.20.

I suspect Garmin was able to merge the Disk and USB installs into a single file. There is no reason to have separate installs for them since simple programing could merge them.
Just a guess though.

Installation programming options aside, that single file would be 0 bytes in size (all 4 files listed in the OP are no longer there). Whether they're merged into Disk1.cab is an unknown that I'll leave to others to determine, if interested.
