I installed a few maps from http://www.gpsfiledepot.com/ on my Dezl 560, and now I think I'd like to remove them. Is this as simple as deleting one file? Or do I need to re-install maps, but only the ones that I want to keep?
Thanks,
Earl
.
Look for a file named GMAPSUPP.IMG and remove it from the unit.
Do not touch any of the the other .IMG files or any other files for which you do not know the function.
map delete.
Do yourself a favor and make a complete backup of your dezl before you delete anything.

Consider advantage of backups

PLEASE follow alandb's advice and backup before doing anything.
Then think about this. Let's say that you had made a backup BEFORE you added maps. Had you done so, then you would be able to see what had been added and what just might be the file(s) to delete.
The few minutes that it takes to backup are well worth the small effort it takes.
I second that
Do yourself a favor and make a complete backup of your dezl before you delete anything.
I second that. I do them every update, sometimes more.
All you need to do is, make one mistake and the next thing you know all your favorites are gone or something else. The most recent was when my 765T usb plug shorted out for some reason. The unit was no longer accessible through the computer. Got my new 3790, loaded all my stuff on, never missed a beat. Can't stress this enough.

Thanks...
Thanks for the info. Truthfully, I have made several backups, but haven't really looked at them to see what is in them. I simply copied everything into a folder on my hard drive. Been handy a couple of times, too!
