Nuvi 1350 redlight warning problem

I have been successfully using redlight camera data for some time but since the last update (last week?) one of the warnings does not work.
It is my understanding that when you approach a redlight intersection you should get the sound warning, and a black background message on the screen, and a small icon (if you uploaded the bmp). Should you be exceeding the speed included in the file name, the message background changes to red.

My 1350 used to work like that but now, no red screen. I just tested it by driving 64kmh. There was no traffic and I did slow to to 56kmh before the intersection.

Here are the files in question and I hear and see both the wav and bmp files. The proximity alert is set to 300meters.
Redlight-Cameras@59.csv
Redlight-Cameras@59.bmp
Redlight-Cameras@59.wav

Any ideas?

Hmm

There were no changes in Winnipeg the last couple weeks, so the location info should be the same as before.

If the trouble is with just one location and others are working fine, send me a note through the contact form and I'll double check to see that the site is setup correctly.

The problem is with the 3 locations I pass by. I also have my own mobile camera csv file with about 6 locations. They too only show a black message and do not go red when speed >
example:
Redlight-MobileCameras_WG@58.csv

I believe the data in the redlight file is correct and I am making a download error or something similar. I posed the question in case I am missing something obvious. Thanks for the reply.

Links

All of those links are mailto:'s, not downloadable files.

Numbers in filenames

Any number in the filename will load as a speed alert instead of a proximity alert. Perhaps there are other unintended consequences. Remove the numbers from all three files and run POI Loader again. Also, I am not sure whether the "@" is causing trouble.

Follow up

@phlatlander
dobs108 has solved your problem. Just to amplify a bit, I am including some info from the help file of POILoader.

Understanding Speed and Proximity Alert Information

POI Loader automatically scans .csv and .gpx data files for speed and proximity alert information.

You can also use Manual mode to specify default speed and proximity alert information as needed.

Speed Information

Speed information can be included in the file name or in the names of individual POIs within the file.

POI Loader determines speed information based on the following information, listed from highest to lowest priority:

1. Speed information included in the name of the individual Custom POI. For example, a POI named "SpeedZone@30" will have an alert speed of 30 regardless of the speed information specified in Manual mode or in the file name.

2. Speed information entered in Manual mode.

3. Speed information included in the file name. POI Loader interprets any numbers in the file name as speed information.

Your problem has been experienced by a number of us, so all of us try to keep it in the back of our minds. It seems so logical to have the real name of "Par 3 Golf Courses" but one gets odd results when a number between 1 and 125 is used.

Additional information is that any number of 125 and up is NOT interpreted as a speed number (200 if in metric) but can be used as a "reminder". Gary Hayman has some great information of this. follow this link

Problem solved, I think...

I had earlier posted that I thought the fault was not in the data but likely some action I was doing or not doing.

It was me.

I had assumed that using a .csv filename containing @59 would mean that the black background message would turn to a red background if I was exceeding 59(kmh) and I was within a prescribed distance. My error was entering my own proximity distance (300) which effectively cancelled out the auto proximity. A better method is to use a .gpx file and set the proximity field yourself. I used Extra_POI_Editor and converted a redlight .csv file to a .gpx file and added my own proximity distance.

Thanks to charlesD45 and others for their assistance.

safety cameras

HELLO...JUST PURCHASED A GARMIN 1350 AND GOT MY MAPS AND POI'S FROM GARMIN.....EVERYTHING WORKS WELL BUT NONE OF THE SAFETY CAMERAS GIVE ME ANY KIND OF WARNING SOUND EVEN AT RED LIGHT CAMERAS...
I'M A NEW AT THE GPS THING...PLEASE MAKE IT SIMPLE FOR ME.
THANK YOU...Yvon

A couple of things...

1. Posting in all capital letters is the equivalent of shouting and is rude. Please do not do that again, as my eyes are bleeding.
2. Contact site admin and have your username changed from your email address to something else. Otherwise you will get your address harvested and have more spam than you know what to do with.

Now, to help you out, please give us more detail. Telling us that it's not working doesn't help, but telling us what steps you went through to get to this point will. You also might want to read the following FAQ: http://www.poi-factory.com/node/25730 as it covers adding custom sounds to your device, as it does not support MP3 files.
