Once you get the icon you want to use, place it in the SAME directory as your POI file to which it corresponds.

Make sure that it is named EXACTLY the same as the POI file (except for the extension) and it will load when you run POI Loader.

Then you will need to zoomed in to at least 0.3 miles or closer and it will show up on the map screen.

Let me see if I got this straight, MM. If I download a red light icon, let's call it rlz.jpg, and I want to incorporate it with our red light zone .csv file, all I have to do is rename the rlz.jpg file Redlight-Cameras. (Leaving off the .csv file extension?)

If your redlight camera FILE is named Redlight-Cameras.csv (or gpx), then if you name your redlight ICON to Redlight-Cameras.jpg (or bmp) AND place it in the SAME directory as the POI file, it will load as a Custom icon when you run POI Loader.

Note that this will work with any POI file not just the redlight cameras.

Typically the icon should be 24x24 or smaller.

Thank you so much. I assume the .jpg file just has to be in the same folder as the redlight file and that you don't actually drop the jpg file INTO the csv file? Just covering all the bases...I'm notorious for not getting things righr the first time..lol. My jpg image is 300 x 301 so guess I'd better do some resizing.

You are correct. It needs to be in the same folder with the same name (except for the extension).

will the Nuvi 360 automatically scale down the jpeg to the right size or do I have to do that before I load it?

No. You need to make the icon file the proper size when you load it.
