Redlight POI Icons

Go to google, click on images and put in a search for Red Light, you will come up with quite a few different icons

I was working on making a redlight bmp. However I ran into a problem.

I can't get my c550 to recognize custom bmp's. This seems to be a problem since the last update. Even custom bmp's on an sd card won't display. I've posted elsewhere.

Anyway, I haven't been able to check the redlight icon/bmp's to see how they look.

For the Nuvi all you need to do is name the poi file (.csv) the same as the .bmp and the poi loader associates them together.

Does it not do that on the c550?

It does, but something in the last firmware update won't allow it.

If you'd like, I have two traffic light bmp's
but I haven't had the opportunity to check them or fine tune on the gps. So, I really can't say what they'd look like. (Might be complete trash)

Ok, I've put together a couple of traffic light bmp's

As I've said in prior posts, I haven't been able to verify the appearance on my c550 due to a bug in the latest firmware update.

So, take a look and try them out and please give me some feedback so I can adjust if needed.

Sometimes they look totally different in a graphics program / browser than they do on the gps.

you can contact me with feedback via the contact tab on this site, until I can finish the site. Use "redlight icon" or something similar in the subject line or else it may get tossed out.

I have a single traffic light (the hanging type.. also yellow and green)that is Red and says STOP on the red lens
