custom POI (screen didn't show "go")

I,m new to webb site. I down loaded custom POI for

walmart and sams. Installed it correctly. When I pulled up a certain Walmart location, screen didn,t show "Go". How should these custom POI work. I saw the cemetary tutorial on this webb site, I was under the assumtion they work like the tutorial.

Are you going here?

Touch WhereTo/Extras/CustomPOIs and there should be a line for Wal-Mart and Sams. Touch that and you'll be shown the closest 50 locations from the file you downloaded and installed with POI Loader. Touching one of the locations should bring up a big Go button and create a route to it.

Depending on your nuvi model, the Extras icon may require a scroll-down arrow touch to be on the screen.

Shout back if that doesn't work for you.

Craigw When I touch one of

Craigw When I touch one of the locations for Walmart, the map screen opens up with supercenter ID but no GO indication. I tried the DinersDrive-Inns, that custom POI operates correctly with GO on it. I probably delete and start over.

What brand/model GPS

do you have?

@Rajun

I too had this problem when I upgraded to the new POI loader. In my case, I was using a GPX file. I wish I could remember how I solved the problem.

Some past issues--maybe it's a number in the file name:

I have realized that when

I have realized that when you assign proximity alerts to POIs, the GO button is not available. Reload POIs again in POI loader without any proximity alerts.

Speed alert

My experience is that if you set an "speed alert" than some of the newer modells will not show "GO"
I havent notice this with proximity alert, but of course, I havent tried them all.

That makes no sense

because what you are stating is that you can't have alerts with your files. We know alerts work whether they be TourGuide or "along the road" alerts. Provided they are set up correctly.
