States won't load in my Garmin Street Pilot

Hi,
My grand daughter got ahold of our Garmin Street Pilot c330 and ever since when it says "enter state" it remains bland. I have reset the unit and reloaded the software and still no states. When I try to type in the state it goes to another page with, you guessed it, no states. Can anyone give me any more ideas or is it over for me?

All maps disabled?

It sounds like she disabled your maps.

(working from memory)
Go into the settings menu, then Maps, and click the Map Info button at the bottom. Make sure your map is checked.
