Large Icon

If I am not mistaken, Someone created a list of icons that was large and easy to see. I did a search but nothing shows up. I thought that I saw it here. Does anyone have a recollection of this.

I present an enlarged 'default' Favorite Icons listing in my article:

ENLARGING THOSE SCREEN ICONS - What Do They Look Like?

Which is on General Page 16 of the GARMIN TRICKS & TIPS website.

Is that what you were looking for?

Try this

I went to http://home.comcast.net/~ghayman3/garmin.gps/page16.htm#page...
and scrolled till I found the icons.

I choose an icon and then did a "right-click" on it. I choose "Save picture as .." and browsed (using Explorer) to a folder into which I wanted the image. I changed the "Save as type" to .bmp and gave the image a name. then I clicked on "Save"

Will this work with custom poi icon?

Slightly different

Using Internet Explorer, you would find the icon you want and then "right click" on the blue link.

Select "Save target as .." and browse to the folder you want. It is already a .bmp so you will just name and save it.

You performed magic

How did you do that????

The images I presented were 'sheets of images' in .gif format (due to html restrictions). Not individual images.

How did you get individual images from the sheet.

Check what you did and I don't think you will find that you have captured any individual .bmp images for use unless you use a 'snipping' program in conjunction with a graphics program to create the 24x24 size and save it as a .bmp. (That can be done.)

good job

I saved and viewed the sheet using Microsoft Office Picture Manager. Then I cropped down to an individual cion, then resized to 24X24. Thanks guys.
This is much easier than searching Google Images.

Yes, that is the way to do it.

Don't forget to save as a .bmp file

Also, remember you can use 'magenta' [255,0,255] as a transparent.

I used PicPick

I had already saved the sheet as a .bmp. I then used PicPickPortable to crop the sheet and then rezize the individual image I had cropped to 24 x 24 pixels
