The farmer I like to buy from had their first truckload in town today - got my first "dozen" (16) ears... YUM. I've perfected microwaving so I didn't have to heat up the whole house boiling... someday, I should try grilling.

Haboob

Monday's haboob (dust storm) in Phoenix didn't seem as bad as the one last month. How come no one has ever heard of the term haboob until this year?

Home!

After a full week in the East Coast heat, it's nice to be in cooler, less humid, Norcal.

I was going to complain

I was going to complain about how hot it is, then I realized:
1.) It isn't 109 degrees;
2.) I'm not 5,700 miles from home;
3.) I'm not dressed in a full BDU uniform and helmet and carrying 70+ lbs.; and
4.) There is very little chance that anyone will shoot at me or that I might drive over a bomb in the road today! Thanks to all who serve.

soak the corn with

husks on to get them nice and wet. Put on the grill and let them steam away. I find about 30 mins as I cook the other goodies.

This is funny. I ordered my 3 prescriptions for a 90 day supply on the 5th of July. They never were delivered. The doc changes one so it was sent and received. Called and try chasing them down with no luck. Thursday reorderd and they send them express next bussiness day. Got them today as well as the original shipment for the 5th. Oh well I am now well medicated for tlhe next 180 day.. laugh out loud

My Rx insurance provider keeps pestering me to use their mail order Rx service. For reasons like what you just explained, I've always declined and gotten mine at the local pharmacy. Gives me more control.
