c330 SD card no longer recognized after mapsource update.
Well looks like i'm boned here.... My C330 no longer reads the sd card... no way no how... after updating maps via mapsource... Any ideas folks?
Oh and one more thing, it didn't successfully update.. just reverts to v8 north america and i have 2011 that used to work on my sd card...

Are you sure that you have the map "checked" under settings/map? A lot of time your auxillary maps will be "unselected" when you tinker with stuff.
Garmin 205, 260W, 1450LMT, 2460LMT, HEREwego for iPhone ... all still mapping strong.

most SD cards ship preformatted with a file system on top of an MBR partition scheme. SD cards are typically formatted as FAT16, SDHC cards as FAT32, SDXC cards as exFAT. The ubiquity of FAT16 and FAT32 allows those cards to be accessed on virtually any host device with an SD reader.

No the sd card is formatted correctly... and it does not even show the new updated map.. so it cannot be selected if its not seen. it works fine in my nuvi.. my c330 no longer acknowledges the sd card at all... but in diagnostic mode it shows it and comes up with a fail for checksum
Do you have
a separate SD card reader? Reformat it, What do you have to lose? The only file on my C320 SD is the .img map file.
