I don't think it's possible...if you're geezer in the gpspassion forums, I answered over there. (I am SergZak over there) but for anyone else interested:

SergZak wrote:

It probably only applies to units that incorporate the different JV format such as Singapore, Malaysia, etc. I don't think it's a configurable option (I don't have nor see it on my US model) unless maybe your unit is set for that locale & you have the proper JVs.

And still no support for transferring routes from Mapsource - which was promised by the end of March. mad

I don't know but typically, US nuvis are incompatible with JVs from certain other country's maps, such as Singapore/Malaysia/Japan etc. The JVs are distributed with maps so if you tried to use Singapore maps/JVs with a US model, the JVs would not display correctly since the format is different than the US format.

I believe this update does away with that issue.

Observed issues with nuvi 37xx v4.10:

1. Traffic icon no longer turns grey when traffic receiver is disconnected/removed. It stays green just as if the receiver were still connected. Going to the traffic page shows the message "traffic receiver disconnected" so the issue is with the icon's color change to reflect the receiver's status. The icon previously always changed to grey when the traffic receiver was disconnected/removed.

Edit Upon further testing, I've found that this traffic icon bug was actually introduced with firmware v4.00 and not the recent v4.10. However, it has carried over to v4.10

2. Persistent "Database for Traffic Providers" update through WebUpdater refuses to be recognized by the nuvi as actually being updated. The updated file in nuvidrive:\.System\TrafficProvder.xml is indeed downloaded/updated...you can tell by editing the file and looking at the "version=2.70". This is indeed the most recent version. The nuvi OS is not updating GarminDevice.xml with the updated values (if you edit that file, the Traffic Provider section values listed are Major 0, Minor 0 which -should be- Major 2, Minor 70). Because of this, you'll be getting the persistent update.

Hard resets were performed on my end to eliminate the possibility of strange "glitches"

Backdating the firmware resolves both issues.

No Grey Traffic Icon on 1450 either

I recently updated my 1450 and noticed the Traffic Icon no longer turns grey if the signal is lost or the receiver is removed.

Hoping for an unpate to fix this soon.

Wasn't there recently a huge number of people complaining about the icon turning grey? Now they want it? I'm confused.

The icon would turn grey (no reception) and stay grey, even if reception was regained. Now it doesn't turn grey at all, even when power is removed and there really is no traffic reception.

Actually

Actually we are beginning to see one new problem with this firmware update and Junction Views which is being reported on other forums (and I can confirm).

If you input a route on the 3790 and then tap the green bar on the top of the map screen you will get a list of each turn in your route. Tapping the first entry in the list and then scrolling through each turn will give you a map view of each turn. Whenever there is a Junction View available for a specific turn it will be shown.

Now go back and either drive that route or simulate driving it. What we are finding is that, in at least Landscape mode (not tested in Portrait), you will only get the FIRST junction view shown on the map screen although you may have seen many more when you scrolled through the turn list.

This problem has been reported to Garmin Support with no response as yet.

Yes or No?

Ok, so i just got it today. From what i am reading here i'd better leave the update alone. Haven't checked what version i have here but i'm betting its 4.00 since my map version is still 2011.10. Garmin does want me to update both map and firmware.

Update
Just checked. I still have firmware v2.60 and software v3.60

The software

The software is the GPS software which isn't updated often and if your using Webupdater is only available after you update the firmware. The version you have is the original and only version available, AFAIK.

The firmware is the stuff that Garmin updates. Version 2.60 is the original firmware for the 37xx so your a few releases behind but there are lots of people that have not updated from this version and are very happy to stay there until the bugs are out of the newer releases.

I can confirm that the new update shows the “Junction View” in either portrait and regular (horizontal) screen mode both in actual and simulated routes.

That's the way to fix the problems, Garmin! Pull "bad firmware" 4.10 and replace it with "not as bad firmware" 4.00. Beating them to the punch, I'm running v3.60 which seems to be least buggy.

I got news for you...somethings buggy. Not sure yet who's cheese slipped off who's cracker..Mine or Garmin's. Anyways I still have v2.60 on here. So i get this thing on Wednesday. I need to load my topo maps and my language guide. See.. this thing don't work like the 765T, i find out real quick. Finally last night after mapsource and topo software
upgrade..low and behold it takes. I see this directory call maps on my unit and sure enough its in there. Now the language guide is still an issue. Keep the micro sd card loaded and it works, not what i want but it will do. So i takes it into the truck to try out the ecoRoute HD. Fire it up and I don't see anything but white space and my Truck on the screen..hmm. Go into my maps and all i see there in my Topo map. Ok so i tick it and now i see something.
I take it to my puter to see where my maps are. Guess what? It's all gone. Wiped some of the Directories in the .System Directory and all the root files. Now i'm restoring.

Well

Well if your running 2.60 (not listed as a firmware release for the 37xx but who knows) then one of your problems may be that the Language Guide wasn't supported on the 37xx until firmware 3.60.

Hopefully you can recover your street maps from your backup and they will work properly on the Nuvi. Can't say what happened to delete them in the first place but you may want to consider following Garmin's advice and making the .system folder a hidden system folder again so it can't be written to or have deletions to it my mistake.

Here are the changes made for the various firmware releases:

Split screen works in protrait mode, not in landscape mode. Also no update to add routes from MapSource. This is annoying already.

Same issues with CN NA v2012.10

Same problems exists (Garmin stated it would be corrected with map v2012.10) here with CN NA 2012.10 & nuvi 37xx v4.10. Only the first JV shows in simulation...others after the first are not shown even though they show up in the "next turn" list.

Also present is the periodic Lane Assist not showing up on the screen at all until you press the "next turn" list, then back out to the map view. This seems to re-enable it for the duration of the route.

I'm back to v3.60 as 4.10 still seems to be a mess.
