hi

hi

Miss POI is almost single.....

Hi guys,

I think it is time to let you guys know what is happening in my life right now.

Jon and I are in the middle of getting divorced. We are having a "Good Divorce" and planning on continuing to work together here at POI-Factory.

I have put some aspects of my job on hold for now while we focus on this event in our lives. I am still doing camera updates and new files. I am not doing updates to existing projects or loading icons and sounds right now. I will still be doing the COW awards and my regular Chit Chat thread every Monday.

I am going to need to go get a full time job outside of this company to help pay my bills. I will still be keeping up with my regular responsibilities here on the site. My response time might be a bit delayed in some cases but I am still watching every move you make;)

Thank you all for all of your support over the years, it has meant a lot to me. I also appreciate your understanding during this stressful time in my life.

Sincerely,

Miss POI

Have a great week

Take care this week. What a nice upcoming weekend.

Corpus Christi, Tx. to be adding more Red light cameras in the very near future. They are still trying to figure out a way to enforce payments from the over 25,000 unpaid tickets from the existing cameras!

Best wishes as you move forward!

Sorry to hear that your vows have become a statistic to today's broken family list, be decent in dissolving the marriage because your children have the most to lose.

As for the POIFactory will see what happens! just maybe it's time for some moderators to help with your load.

Good luck

Hope everything goes well today, John... thinking of you. I know the first couple of days are difficult looking at a PC screen, so it may be awhile before we hear from you.

Best of luck!

Thanks Gary I have to ware my old glasses for now ans I can't see up close with the new eye yet.

Yup, same thing happened to me. My old prescription glasses actually made my vision worse. My distance vision had improved to 20-20 and the old glasses now had too much correction. I waited a week until I had the second eye done and went out and bought a pair of drugstore reading glasses (1.75) for reading books, newspapers, etc. The final follow-up appointment (1 month after surgery) is in about 2 weeks. Right now I need no correction for distance vision (I can wear plain sunglasses for driving and see fine... even the numbers on the car's instrument panel).

The eyes are still changing as they heal so don't be too quick to spend a lot of money on new prescription glasses. I may not get any at all. So far, the drug store glasses are fine for reading.

I did have to get a second (less strong) pair of drug store readers (1.00) for the PC screen, which I am wearing now.

I had cataract surgery to implant an IOL, artificial lens. About a week later I had a Retinal Detachment in the same eye. More surgery, tougher than the first, that changed my vision. The lens had me right on the money at 20/20, but the scleral buckle changes the shape of the eye and hence the vision needed to be corrected with a contact lens.

Waiting for the surgery on the "good" eye as the cataract worsens. but all in all I am very thankful to have vision. I wore glasses for nearly 35 years and don't wear them anymore except cheap readers.

Good luck to both of you with your vision situations.

So sad

Glad to hear you are doing well, John. What you describe sounds pretty much like my first few days. Try to be patient (I had a hard time with that). It gets better day by day.

The one thing I noticed in between having the eyes done was how much whiter & brighter everything looked through the first eye as compared to the not-yet-done eye. I would look at something, cover one eye with my hand and then switch my hand to the other eye. The same scene seen through the one eye that had been done, was so much whiter & brighter. Do you notice that difference?

I did the same thing with my wife. lol! Drove her nuts, too. The difference was just so dramatic. You don't realize how your eyes slooowly deteriorate over the years.
