iPhone / car mount ideas

I am wondering what those of you out there are using for a car mount. Over the weekend aver much research I purchased the Navigon App for my iPhone 4, one thing I noticed is that having a mount with a "small footprint" would be nice.

Any pictures or ideas woud be great.

Thx

There's lots out there

Google has a lot on a search.

.

I always liked my Garmin beanbag mount, so when I switched to using my android phone I purchased a universal mount and with a little handiwork attached it to the garmin mount.

Love to show you mine, but.....

Due to the limitation of this site, I can not post the picture of mine. And, you may not like it anyway.
So, you just have to go to Google to see gazillions of ideas out there.

Nobody knows what the "5G" is going to be... it could be a minor upgrade like the 3GS, or something new and different...

I kind of doubt Apple & Verizon would start selling an iPhone and lock people into 2 year contracts and turn around and release a new iPhone in a matter of months that would make people PO'ed that just got an iPhone... my thinking is the so-called iPhone5 may be a "global mode" phone - and won't be anything that will make people who just got an iP4 mad they got one... the next big thing is going to be the LTE Phones... and in 20 months, when people who just got the iP4 on Verizon, LTE should be mostly deployed, and they'll get the bugs worked out on the hardware.

Meanwhile, I'm liking my iPhone-4 on Verizon. Finally, an iPhone on a network that works where I live.

Kuda mounts--

Still a big fan of the Kuda mounts (kudausa.com).

On my mini cooper, the Kuda mount puts my Nuvi or phone where I can hit the screen with my right hand without taking my hand off the steering wheel. The mount matches the interior and is reasonably easy to install (which means some work is involved, but hey, you only have to do it once).

No relationship with the company other than a satisfied user.

I had to scroll through about 15 pages on the precentral.net forum to find these, but this is how I mounted my Palm Pre in my Avalanche. I only mention it here because the ball and socket mount is for the iPhone, which I modified for my Palm phone. I had a wire run to the fuse box behind the dash that really completes a clean installation. I'm very happy with the location, and I've coupled it with a Jabra hands-free bt unit that plays music and takes calls wonderfully. I highly recommend this setup. The only benifit you wont get is being able to drop your iPhone on the inductive charging plate to charge it. I have to admit that's pretty cool.
