Integrated POIs

Are the POIs that come installed on a Garmin integrated with the POIs that I download from POI Factory? Say that I am looking for the nearest McDonald's, will it look at both the downloaded POI file and the resident POI files and give me the closest of both files combined.
Not "integrated"
No they are separate.
The ones you download from the internet, make up yourself etc. and put on your Garmin via PoiLoader will show up in Extras as "Custom POIs" while the ones that are in the installed map(s) will show up under Points of Interest, Intersections etc.

That is the only bad part about custom pois and the built in ones.You have duplicates.Most cases the built in pois are not as complete as the custom pois though.I see you mention McDonald's.The custom poi file on site is kept updated on a regular schedule by the author .As mention you have to search from different tabs on your gps since they are not integrated.
