Hi Everyone! 1st time here. Having an issue. I have the Garmin Nuvi 605. I've never had a problem with it, until now. It seems as though the touchscreen has just stopped. I can see the screen. Audio works. It just won't respond to my touch. Any ideas?
Garmin
Why don't you give Garmin a call. Even if they can't get it working I've heard they'll sometimes swap out a unit free of charge even if it's not under warranty.
Hard Reset
It sounds like you have little choice but to do a hard reset. You'll find the step-by-step here: http://www.poi-factory.com/node/26136

nuvi' 2450
.
Calibration shouldn't bring back a DEAD touchscreen, but I suppose anything is worth trying.
However, as I just posted in another thread, you might want to check the edges of the screen where they go under the case to see if there is any crud wedged . . that will effectively kill the device's ability to read the touchscreen if there is something there.
It can usually be cleaned out with the edge of a business card.
Can't hurt to check.
Currently have: SP3, GPSMAP 276c, Nuvi 760T, Nuvi 3790LMT, Zumo 660T
Calibration instructions here

look for series 300 or 600
Make sure you also follow bramfrank's suggestions.
If all fail, then do a backup
http://www.poi-factory.com/node/30394
and then try a master reset (or some call it a hard reset)
