On this website, they have several files for route 66.

Wasn't able to look into the
Wasn't able to look into the one you linked to, so not sure of the layout.
The one I linked to (for the Garmin, anyway) is a zipped file, has separate files for each of the states, and can be accessed directly using MapSource.
Also has routes for the various alignments over the years.
If that's what your link leads to, I'm sorry. Still trying to find my way around here.
