I just installed the Tim Horton POI and can't get the icon to show???

Did you have correct size .bmp file? I would say 22 x 22 or 24 x 24 pixels.
Did you name the .bmp file same name with poi file?

Welcome to the site cryokid.You are going to have to zoom in close on the map to see the icon.To check if the icon was installed correctly.Go to Where to,Extras and touch custom pois last.Now select one of you your custom pois you have the custom bump for.Instead of selecting go, look at bottom of gps screen and touch map.You should now see your custom bmp.See http://www.poi-factory.com/node/25721 for custom pois.If you decide to use alerts the 265 requires wav files for voice alerts.
