Why does 3.90 work on 1490T but not so well on 765T?

I purchased a 1490T at Costco ($249.99) and it came loaded with version 3.60. I upgraded to 3.90 and it is working without any problems traffic or otherwise, to date. I have a 765T and have been waiting for over a month to have Garmin fix the traffic reception problem caused by 3.90 on the 765T. I am told by my Garmin contact that the engineers are working on it. I think Garmin sent out for the fix as it is a long time coming. It is obvious to me that the problem has to be with the software and that being the case, correct it. I reinstalled 3.60 on the 765T and eliminated the traffic problem.
The 1490T's 5 inch screen is a great improvement for an old fella such as I (my vision was the second thing to go, I can't remember the first) as I can now read the screen. I also found a pair of Ray Ban AmberMatic sunglasses(vintage model-forgot I had them)in a drawer at home and eliminated the problem caused by polarized lens affecting reading the screen. If Garmin will fix the 765T problem, I will stop complaining.

I assume

I assume you are aware that firmware version 3.90 on the 1490 isn't the same as the 3.90 on the 765T. All Nuvi models have their own firmware with their own version numbers. Unfortunately in this case we happen to be at a point when the two models have the same version number.

Agree, Garmin needs to fix the traffic problems with the 7x5 models running 3.90
