Deep Loss

Tonight I lost the love of my life. My wife of 30 years passed away after complications from a brain operation. She had been suffering for several months now and is at peace. She was a very young 54 years old.

For those of you that have sent me updates to my files, please be patient with me as I will get back to this as soon as I am up to it. Please do keep sending any updates you may have.

Thanks... for those who pray, please add my wife Micheline to your prayers.

Thanks
Dom

My sincere sadness about your loss.

My mother died at the same age. So young. We still feel the loss even when it was 20 years ago.
Found comfort from the scriptures.

Dom,

While I never had the pleasure of knowing you, I'm sure sorry to hear the news and am trying to imagine the depth of your loss, even though it is impossible to do. I'm sure that the best little things about her that only you ever really knew will live on in your hart. It sounds like she was very fortunate to be your wife for all those years. My condolences. I know she will be missed.

Live to her honor!

I am very sorry to hear the sad news. A loss of a family member is always hard to bear.

Remember the nice moments

My husband and I have been together for 46 years this month. We have so many wounderful moments to remember. I can not think of not having him by my side. I'm sure it is so hard for you. The bound two have after so many years is beautiful. I'm sure your life with her was beautiful.

Just remember to remember the wounderful moments you had together. I'm sure that will put a smile on your face for a moment. I lost my father 2 years ago. He was 87 and always live close to us and the little memories do help.

We are all praying for you.

When those we love go away

Perrdom,

My deepest condolences. I lost my wife of 10 years (She was 35) on November 18'th 2009, so I understand what you are going through. Take all the time you need, and lean on your family and friends for support, they, are the ones that got me through it. Every day is a struggle, but you'll get better, as you go.

Stay strong, and if there's anything I can do to help, please let me know.

Fluxuated,
My condolences to you, I am sorry you also lost you young bride. I know I'm not your favorite person, but, from the bottom of my heart I hope you also find peace and all the support you need. I will say a prayer for you and your wife also.

When those we love go away, they never really leave us;
they are with us now, wherever we are.
Those whom we have cherished, live on forever,
for love wraps itself around the heart.
Although it's difficult now,
someday beyond our tears and all the world's wrongs;
beyond the clouds and all that we can see and touch,
we shall all understand.

It's about the Line- If a line can be drawn between the powers granted and the rights retained, it would seem to be the same thing, whether the latter be secured by declaring that they shall not be abridged, or that the former shall not be extended.

We feel your loss!

May the lyrics of 'Let It Be' be of some comfort to you, Dom:

"When I find myself in times of trouble, Mother Mary comes to me,
speaking words of wisdom, let it be.
And in my hour of darkness she is standing right in front of me,
speaking words of wisdom, let it be.

Let it be, let it be, let it be, let it be.
Whisper words of wisdom, let it be.

And when the broken-hearted people living in the world agree,
there will be an answer, let it be.
For though they may be parted there is still a chance that they will see,
there will be an answer. let it be.

Let it be, let it be, .....

And when the night is cloudy, there is still a light, that shines on me,
shine until tomorrow, let it be.
I wake up to the sound of music, Mother Mary comes to me,
speaking words of wisdom, let it be.

Let it be, let it be, ....."

Though we may not know you and Micheline personally, our prayers and thoughts are with you and your family!

Peace be with you

Deep Loss

Sorry to hear of your loss. My wife and I have been married going on 52 years and I can't imagine what you are going thru at this time. Be strong, our prayers are with you and Micheline.

Things are really really hard

I wonder when my life will start to resemble something like a life.

For those waiting for updates to my POIs, please be patient with me. I will try to get back into it in the next few days.

Thanks again to all for the kind words.

All I would like to add is:
If there is something you really want to do, or soeone you really want to say something to, please don't wait. "Too late" can come very quickly.

Please

Please don't worry about your POI files. I can't begin to imagine the range of emotions you must be going through. You have enough to deal with right now. Take time for yourself and your family. That is what is most important.

The files will be here waiting for you when you are ready. Only you will know when the time is right.

God Bless!

lost the love of your life

Words can't express how deep your sorry is. I lost my Mother this past December a deep love of my for my last 48 years. I hope time will make it easier for you to live with her passing. I have not been able to come to true terms with my mothers passing. I will keep you wife in my prays. The only point I can add is her suffering is over. No matter what you believe people say different things. The best thing is she is still in your heart and ever tear is your thought of her, crying is a good thing. My G-d help you thru this difficult time

Dom

Don't worry about any "work" piling up here. I've been monitoring some of your threads and sending updated files to Miss POI. When you feel you are ready, you'll find a lot of them are fairly current. You take the time you need and we'll be here with all the support we are able to offer.

And I am blessed to have so many good memories. I would not replace any of the 30+ years that we were married. If you needed an example of "Soul-Mate" we could be it. She was a very loving wonderful wife, my true best friend.

I do miss her terribly, but a friend told me last week that I should think of this in reversed roles. If I have passed away, what would I want her to do. That really opened up my eyes. Sure, it does not take the pain of this HUGE loss and make it go away, but it does make me want to carry on.

I am not quite ready to go through all my messages yet, but I will, soon I hope and try to get my life back on track.

Having family and friends, both in person and online, has been my true lifeline.

Again, thanks to everyone.

I can not imagine....

I cannot imagine losing my wife of 41 years...my prayers are with you.

Dom- Though we've never had

Dom-

Though we've never had the pleasure of meeting, I think of you occasionally and just wonder how you are doing these days. It's very encouraging to see what a full, blessed, and beautiful life the two of you had together, which I'm sure makes it even tougher to part with at times. Conversely, I would bet that on your better days you would make a fine mentor to a newly married man who might not yet realise what he has gotten himself into. While I honestly can't imagine what it must be like to have a loss this great, I can see that you have done quite well, and I really admire that!

Dom, only a few of the many well wishers will succeed in touching you in a way that lowers your deep pain a little, and you will find that you can take as long as you need to get back to full function and possibly a new direction. Would you consider investing some of the immeasurable experience & wisdom you have acquired, into the lives of one or two first-time newlywed couples some day, when you think you may be ready for that?

I wish you the very best Dom, as you live the life she would want you to live.

Praying for you!

God bless-
