Deep Loss

Tonight I lost the love of my life. My wife of 30 years passed away after complications from a brain operation. She had been suffering for several months now and is at peace. She was a very young 54 years old.

For those of you that have sent me updates to my files, please be patient with me as I will get back to this as soon as I am up to it. Please do keep sending any updates you may have.

Thanks... for those who pray, please add my wife Micheline to your prayers.

Thanks
Dom

30 years sure was a nicely shared road

Dom, I'm sorry about your loss. I've been married for only twelve years so far, and I can barely measure what it must be like for you.

I'm sure everybody will wait to hear further from you, and this post shows what a nice community we have here, from all around the world.

God Bless !

My condolences

Dom:

My sincere condolences on the loss of your wife. As you said, she is in a better place.

my condolences

be kind to yourself

Thanks everyone for all your kindness

Once again I want to thank everyone for your kindness and understanding.

I am just starting to understand, I think, the grieving process. It is very hard to understand and it is not linear. You go through various stages and in both directions. One day, you feel okay, the next you are lost etc etc etc.

I have started to look at my files again, but it is a long process and I can only do a bit at a time before emotions take over again.

If anyone has sent me any updates, please send thenm again as I prefer to get updates more than once than miss one.

Thanks again
Dom

So sorry...

until it happens to you, you never know the loss one feels. I almost lost my love, my one and only of 39 years to breast cancer, but with the help, and love of God, she is fine now. Prayer helps...never stop praying!

Dom, Sorry to hear of your loss. May the good lord help you weather the storm.

Anytime you have a 50-50 chance of getting something right, there's a 90% probability you'll get it wrong.

So very, very sorry

Dom,
I just read your post from March. So very, very sorry for your loss.
I will pray for your wife, Micheline and YOU. It will be a difficult holiday season, but know you have an online "family" to support you.
Sincere condolences,
Cheryl

I get an update from Dom

I get an update from Dom every now and then. He has not logged onto the site since June.

I know that the love and support that he has gotten from our community has meant a lot to him.

I will send him a little love letter from us today so that he knows we are all thinking of him.

Miss POI

Please tell him as well...

... that he's got friends all around the Planet, who would love to hear from him again.

Sorry, just saw the date of origenal post and deleted my message.

I am sorry for your loss.

Love from Perrdom

I got a note back from Dom, he wants everyone to know how much our love and support mean to him.

He was deeply touched that we are all thinking about him.

He is now taking care of his brother who is deteriorating rapidly and he hopes to be back here at the start of the year.

He misses us and loves us all very much.

Miss POI

hang in there dom-

May God especially strengthen you at this time Dom, and we'll all be very glad to have you back with us when you are ready!

Thanks Miss POI for the update

Thanks so much for the update, Miss POI.
I have a feel for what he's up against & it's nice that you can drop him a line every so often to let him know we're thinking about him.

I've been taking care of my wife's Brother, Mom, & Dad for about a year now at our place while she's working and I'm not. Her Mom passed in August just 2 weeks after her 85th birthday. Her Dad just had his 85th birthday yesterday & we had family over, but he mentioned that he caught himself getting ready to say something at the table to his wife of 63 years, only to remember..

He's gradually getting along better & better, but it's tough. And family & friends really do help.

Looking forward to seeing Dom post again, soon I hope.
