Magellan 1700-Opinions?

I've been a Garmin guy for a while, but I saw this Magellan at Costco the other day and I really liked it:

I was wondering if anyone owned it or had any experience with it. It is quite large and I was wondering how much "real estate" it uses on the dash. Thanks!
