2720/2730 Speaker 12 Volt Adapter

What is the socket on the side of the car adapter/ speaker used for on the 27XX series Streetpilots? I can find no documentation of what might go into the socket. I opened the case and it is two wires that go back to the plug at the GPS end.

I have a 2730 and didn't know that. The specs show that the 2730 is not capable of receiveing FM Traffic... only XM.
I Know the 2820 can use FM and I think the 2720 but not the 2730 but maybe I'm wrong.
I dropped my XM Traffic becasue it was less than useless and always wanted to get FM Traffic on my 2730.
I need a GTM-10 you say ?
Has anyone done this ????
