Map out of date

Yes, I get this message once in a while at startup on my nuvi 260, 2009 maps.

Anyone know how to turn it off?

I find it annoying as I don't plan on paying that kind of money for an update. Before GPSr, I got by with a map book a couple years old. When I update the maps, it will be in a new unit.

the notice can be turned off. I get it on my year old Nuvi, also.

I received my email today that the nuvi liftetime updated map is
available, but when i went to update it stated not available.

What version do you have now? If for CNNANT and you're not 2010.20 now, then there is a new version for you.

Funny I do not gt the "your map is over a year old" message I have a Garmin 360 with a 2009 map when should I expect it to start popping up

I ran the Web Updater and it said I was up-to-date.
I ran the Dashboard and it said I had a software available since I paid for lifetime updates. It took a while and eventually said I was up-to-date.

Not too sure what the heck it was or did but now it says I am up-to-date.

myDashboard, once I connect my Nuvi 760, says I have a Kenwood DNX7140 with a serial number in the drop down box. When I select it, I am told I registered in Jan 24,2009. NO idea what the heck this is!

My 765t, monthly it seems, flashes up a screen that says my map is a year old and should be updated. I have lifetime maps and when I check, there is no update available. The gps is not even a year old.

I called Garmin. Solution suggested is to redownload the same version, do a reset... Nothing seems to work. Maybe I'll call again tomorrow.

Final comment... the 765T performs great. I would buy it again if lost (for about half what I paid, ha ha)

It will go away if you ignore it 3 times, I think.
