750 refurbished

Why would you buy an older refurbished model vs a newer 7x5 unit?

Why

MONEY!!!!!!!

You have to remember that not all folks can afford the higher priced items.

For instance:
We're going to Las Vegas in a couple of weeks and I'd prefer to fly in a charter jet. But since that's way too expensive for us, we are going via Southwest Airlines sad

Money...

Metricman,

I am not familiar with the 750. Does the 750 have better/faster features than a 265WT? I have seen the 265WT, new, for under $200.

Maybe when you make it Vegas you can win some money and really splurge! smile

Vegas, Baby!!

metricman,

LV, NV is one of the few places I know that you can arrive in a $30,000 car, and ride home on a $100,000 bus.

When you get here, put your entire wad on red, let the wheel spin and head back to McCarron airport whatever the outcome. Probably the best strategy one can have here in Sin City. You can even spend time playing the slots at the airport as you wait for your Southwest flight, or charter as the case may be.

What else is here beside buffets? Siegfried and Roy are gone!

Have a great time in Vegas, but watch your wallet!

Check this link, then scroll down to the "Which nuvi is best for you" table:

The 750 is most likely slower than the 265WT. The 750, though, can play mp3 files, has multi-point routing and has a (not very useful) FM transmitter while the 265T lacks these features. The lack of ability to play mp3 files may complicate using downloaded audio files associated with the POI files and icons you can find here at The Factory.

Have fun in Vegas!

I have a 765T and really like it. I have a Harman-Kardon Drive 'N Play unit in my car so all my music comes from my iPod.

I did try the FM transmitter and was not impressed. IMO probably the useful way to send audio out of the PND would be by connecting the audio output to your car stereo.

I am glad I found this forum! It sure has a lot of information and I am looking forward to researching the POIs.

Hope you come home a winner from Vegas!
