Is the warning time for turns adjustable?
My NUVI 350 is a little slow on the draw. Sometime's it lets me know about turns at the last minute.
If I am going a little fast I almost miss my turn.
.
It's not adjustable/configurable

Adjusting warning time for turns.
Thanks.
I guess I either have to slow down or be ready to make a lot of U-turns.

Adjusts by speed

I believe that the announcement time is based on speed, i.e. will warn at a greater distance when going at 65 miles/hour than 25. You can also set the unit to display the next turn. On my c530, the unit displays the distance to the next turn on the lower right hand side. Touching that display splits the screen so that you get additional information on the right hand side as to the type of turn, distance, and time to the turn.

Also watch your distance to next turn helps let you know too.

don't think it is your speed

my nuvi 350 alerts me several times before turns. Prehaps the gps responds to zoomed level, if set too close may not give much warning. I usually have my unit set about 2-3 blocks out, don't know what X zoom that may be. Besides it tells you on the bottom right corner how far to the turn.

Or you can use a visual clue, e.g.: when it gets near 0.5 mile or so, count the intersecting street (block) before the upcoming turn.
36 seconds
Your model may be different, but it should alert you to a turn that will occur 36 seconds in the future, if you continue at your same speed.
In other words, if you are traveling 60 mph, it will alert you 3168 feet before the turn. At 30 mph, 1584 feet and at a speed no one drives, 10 mph, 528 feet.
My Nuvi 260 will also announce the next turn if it will occur less than 36 seconds after the first upcoming one. "Turn left on Main Street, then turn right."
As soon as I make that first turn it immediately tells me again about this next turn, this time calling it out by name.
If your unit is not giving you about 36 seconds notice, contact Garmin.

My NUVI 350 seems to always alert me at 0.4 mile before the next turn regardless of my speed,,,,,,
I have seen the future and it is now!
That would be a neat feature
Maybe the good folks working at Garmin should consider implementing this feature in future models or perhaps do firmware upgrade that allow this feature.

That would be a neat feature
It would be a neat feature. But Garmin is much more likely to be removing features than adding features. On top of that, they need to solidify firmware updates that are released...recent issues (7x5/8x5 "bricking") are literally forcing them to finally do it. I would much rather have a solid and stable firmware than firmware with features riddled with numerous bugs and oddities.
I'm sure Garmin could actually release firmware and new units with many great and nifty features but they are much too busy working on the next "new" units to be released every 3-6 months...at the same time releasing those new units full of bugs as well. Just look at the brand new 1xxx series and it's share of bugs and issues, one of those being with a feature ("enhanced" Pedestrian mode with cityXplorer maps) that is exclusive to that new series.

Warning Time
My NUVI 350 seems to give ample warning. As said in an earlier reply, check the distance to the next tu8rn or road change, in the lower right corner. I always glance at this to prepare myself.
In most cases on the highway, I'm warned about one kM (.625 miles) ahead, which is about the same or greater than the warning advanced road signs on most major highways.
