How to erase all favorites in 765T?

I tried hard re-set, it did not work. I then tried loading all favorites from 765t using MapSource, then delete all, then write back to unit. All of the favorites are still there. I have quite a long list, it would be a major pain to erase one by one.

Have you tried to touch

Have you tried to touch where to,my data, delete favorites and touch select all. That is the way it works on 265wt.Should be the same or close to the same process for 765t.

Delete favorites

Have you tried editing the current.gpx file on your computer and putting it back on your unit? I have never put the current.gpx file back after clearing the entries but it might work.

If you edit current.gpx on your computer, delete all favorites on the gps, and copy the edited version back to the GPX folder as Temp.gpx, it works. Many gps models will automatically delete Temp.gpx after the files are added to favorites when you reboot the gps.

Nuvi 660 -- and not upgrading it or maps until Garmin fixes long-standing bugs/problems, and get maps to where they are much more current, AND corrected on a more timely basis when advised of mistakes.

removing all favorites, etc.

I searched the help on the 765t for RESTORE. It said to turn off the unit. When you turn it back on, firmly push on the lower right hand of the screen & follow the on-screen instructions. It worked for me.

RTFM

Currently have: SP3, GPSMAP 276c, Nuvi 760T, Nuvi 3790LMT, Zumo 660T

Didn't work for me

I have tried this method 4-5 times now. The only result has been a sore finger from pushing so long and so hard on the lower right part of the screen.

Not sure what I am doing wrong.

What ...

... are you trying to do?

If simply delete all favourites then no need for a master reset. Tools, My Data, Delete Favorites and then either select 'select all' or pick the individual ones you want to delete
