Are all SD Cards the same?

 

I am about to jump into the 21st Century. After using my StreetPilot C330 for 4 years, I am going to purchase a Nuvi 765T. In selecting a SD Card, are they all the same, by that I mean, will they all fit a 765? Looking at an 8 Gig to store e-books and music along with POI's. Been a member here for 2 1/2 years, and It's still the BEST GPS site on the net.

Some brands are more reliable than others. I personally use Sandisk or PNY cards.

Definitely stay away from cheapo memory cards on ebay. Most are fake Chinese imports which may or may not work.

As far as size, all SD cards are the same size. Just make sure its SD and not microSD. (Although you can use a microSD card in the 765 with an adapter.)
