I'd love it, but since the nuvi 350 isn't waterproof, I doubt it will ever happen.

At the CES in January, Garmin announced the ability to use their Topo Maps and BlueCharts on the Nuvi series. I have not heard anything regarding a timetable for this to happen. So if/when those maps can be used, It would be up to the user to keep their unit dry

anybody use a auto 650 for lake travel

ok, so I can see the lake, but if I pick place to go, it tries to send me by road, do I need to change something to go by lake

Hit the wrench, then 'navigation' and change the 'route preference' to 'off road'.

And do keep your 650 in some sort of plastic bag or something to keep it from getting wet...I'd opt for something that would keep it afloat long enough to scoop it up if the thing should happen to somehow accidentally end up in the drink...
