Where to buy map updates?

Best Buy (as well as others) will have it available, probably less cost than Garmin. That being said, when is the question! Since Garmin seems to be confused about availibility and to whom and for what price, don't know when stores will have it. Probably just be patient and it will all sort out... I was in Best Buy yesterday, and they had no idea when, but felt it would be soon???? Not one of the display units had the latest version. This store opened in May of this year, so guess their stock was old stuff??

Hey, everyone:
How do I find the version date of the map of my c340. I bought my c340 in February 2007. I don't intend to update my map but every other year. There shouldn't be too much changes with a year time.

Map version is found by going to Main Menu, selecting the wrench at bottom of screen (at least on my C330 that's where it is), then select Map, at the bottom of the screen you should see Map Info, select that. If you see "City Navigator North American NT v8" you have the OLD version. Most likely that's what you have based on your purchase date. I purchased mine in late May and that's what I have.
