Maestro 4250, doesn't say "On the right" anymore

The subject pretty much says it. I've got everything up to date, including new maps and I just recently noticed that it doesn't say "Destination ahead in .5 miles [on the left]" anymore.

Don't know when I lost the side-of-the-street information. Might just be a quirk of TTS......or the new maps.....or might never have said that since I upgraded from a 4000 ??? Anybody else know?

As an aside, I continue to get (seemingly) random really stupid routing for short segments of city travel. It almost seems like something tells it to avoid a perfectly good section of highway and it takes you through a nearby subdivision.

Maybe the new maps?

My 4250 says the side of the street and I have the most recent firmware but am still using the maps that came with it (since a new version is arriving this June).

As to wierd routing, if happens now and then but I once hit avoid toll roads and that was a major disaster.

I happened to mine once in a while, but when I resetting it, it will work fine again

Depending on the POI location

My GPS sometimes specify side of the road where destination POI is expected but not all the time. I never thought it was a problem. In a case of a few custom POI's after I moved the coordinates more toward left or right from the road, the announcement changed from "ahead" to either "left" or "right".
