I haven't tried the "use the address first" method mentioned in that link (thanks for that! Going to try it). As Homer says, Doh!

Other ways to add more than the phone number are doing it "outside" of the device, on your PC.

There are a few ways to do that..search for using & creating and/or editing a CSV or GPX file.

PS- I didn't really notice your screen name when I wrote that! Wasn't meant personally!! ..Doh! (again).

On the 765 you can save a favorite then go back and edit it.You get option to change name, add photo change map symbol, change phone number, change categories and delete.When you save the favorite it will establish a category for it under favorites you can touch new in edit and add your own.

You may just want to make a gpx file for custom pois.That will allow you to add comments.For a excellent program to do that see http://www.poi-factory.com/node/21156 .

Hope i can get this right, IF you use google maps, put in the address you want, after it comes up, click on send, then select gps, when that screen comes up the address will be blued out, you can make that anything you want. I normally use just the address cause i know i am in jacksonville, fl, so i just delete the city out, then you can move down to the phone number, this dont just take numbers, it will take alphabet letters, you can say anything you want in it, then send it to your gps, try it if you hadnt already figured it out, then it shows up in your favorites with no editing. pretty cool. This will not work in mapquest, they dont give you any options like google maps.
