Finding Nuvi Firmware Updates without using WebUpdater?

Hi All,
Is there a way to see a list of all firmware update versions for a Nuvi 205w? I tried searching on Garmin's site but can't find it listed on this page: http://www8.garmin.com/support/blosp.jsp
Also, I don't necessarily want to connect the device and check it via WebUpdater. I'd just like to see the versions available, and what changed in each version. Thanks!

I believe the location you examined is the correct one. Go to the Garmin site and choose support, software, and choose the second option for Additional Software. This lists the latest software updates for each particular GPSr. Select your unit and choose to download the software to your PC. After agreeing to the terms, you will get a description of the download and a listing of all the versions and their change history. At that point you can choose to download or not to download.
Update: just checked and it does show a lot of units but does not seem to include yours????

The GTM updates seem to have left the planet. They don't show up on download websites and they don't appear any longer using the web updater.

It should but it doesn't. Not listed are any 7x5, or 2xx. But it does list the new 885T. Garmin, get with the program.

When your GTM needs updating, webupdater will find exactly what you need. You just don't need one.
I have to admit, I did like it much better when every thing was listed. Not a big fan of webupdater.

I would completely back up your Garmin before doing any updates. As far as I know 4.80 is the current update for your model -- I wouldn't recommend installing it... it seems to be a little buggy. I've had a few calls and emails in with Garmin.

I don't understand the Garmin Update web site. I have received multiple updates for my nuvi 255, yet this model is not even listed at the web site above.

Hi rev, your unit might be listed as 2x5. Garmin uses this notation to denote any unit with a 2 in the first position and a 5 in the last position...
Why you can't find your GPS model
The reason you can't find your GPS model on the list is that this page only lists updates to Garmin products NOT SUPPORTED by WebUpdater.
Here's the direct quote from the page that uses the link you are asking about:
"WebUpdater updates most Garmin products, excluding Palm and Pocket PC devices, fixed-mount marine units, chartplotters, fishfinders and certain discontinued units we no longer support. It does not perform Beta updates. WebUpdater only updates unit software. See our All Updates & Downloads web page for related utilities, drivers, add-ons and the unit software for the excluded units mentioned above."
So it looks like Webupdater is the way to go:
