Battery life

Probably been asked before but here goes.....How long should I expect my battery in my 750 to last. I don't mean run time but how long before it won't hold a charge again?

Charlie. Nuvi 265 WT and Nuvi 2597 LMT. MapFactor Navigator - Offline Maps & GPS.

I usually get about 4 or 5 hrs with a 760

That is if you keep the intensity just at a level that's readable.
I keep mine around 40-50% daytime and
around 20% at night.

That's An Unanswerable Question

Unless you specify how often you use the unit on battery power. How far you discharge the batteries? What temperatures are the unit exposed to during storage and use? You get the picture -- you could kill it in a year or treat it well and get three years or more.

Nuvi 660 -- and not upgrading it or maps until Garmin fixes long-standing bugs/problems, and get maps to where they are much more current, AND corrected on a more timely basis when advised of mistakes.

battery replacement

Not sure if it matters since many will keep it plugged in anyway. Have to for traffic receiver to work. I used mine a couple times in pedestrian mode when I first got it but was not practical so now it is only for the car.

You shouldn't use it plugged

You shouldn't use it plugged in all the time.

Batteries need to be used in order to stay healthy. It is a good idea to run them down to at least you get the low battery alarm and then charge it up again.

The other thing to consider besides the conditions already mentioned is how far do you drain the battery. There are some devices that will stop working totally if the battery falls below a ertain level to protect the battery but some devices do not. These types of devices can kill a battery fast.

For your traffic receiver, if it's a MSN receiver it should work on battery for at least the traffic according to the Garmin and Microsoft websites. I don't know about the other receivers.

It's a good thing that there's GPS systems or I would be ... always lost!
