Speed alerts

Hi there,

I installed the speed alerts. Now when I am driving the speed alert seems to pop quite frequently. Why would that be? Is there a way to remove the speed alerts?

What speed alerts did you load?

And what exactly is the alert message that you are getting?

Which Alerts?

Perhaps I'm having another of my 'dense' days but what speed alerts are you referring to? If you're asking about speed camera alerts you're being notified anytime you're within a specific distance of a camera. Are you being alerted in the same area each time?

To remove POIs you've loaded (and assuming you have a Garmin unit) just run POI loader and choose 'remove installed POI's'. If you have other POI's you want to keep but just want to remove speed camera alerts use the 'manual' setting to load your POI files but when you get to 'speed cameras' choose 'ignore this file.'

Speed alerts

Depends on how you loaded them. Did you use the automatic or manual? in manual, you set the speed at which the alert alerts you. If you don't want the speed alerts, then reload all your POI files without the speed alert file.
