Security feature question

On the latter topic, does anyone know the radius of the security location effectiveness? 10 yards, 100 yards, half a mile? Would I have to park in the exact same spot to unlock it?
This questions was asked in another post and somewhat unrelated to the topic but does anyone know the answer to this question. My experience with my nuvi 205 is it's inconsistance, sometimes it would unlock a few feet away form the location other times it would remain locked. looking for others who have or use this feature to give us you experiences.

It depends on where you initially set your unlock location and the satellite accuracy at the time compared to the satellite accuracy at the time of unlock. If the unit thinks your location is hundreds of feet away (such as when you first power on the unit and the accuracy is not yet stabilized), then the unlock won't take.
You may want to redo your security location with the unit at that location for say 5 minutes or so to stabilize. When it comes time to unlock, you should wait a minute or so for it to again stabilize before trying to unlock it.
