I was struggling yesterday to find SlowJim's Nuvi Editor program. For those of you who may want it here is a direct link to the download:

Anybody use this yet?

Has anyone tried this yet? I have my wonderful Nuvi 750....but I am slightly disappointed with some of the waypoint features.

Would like some feedback before I download and use.

Looks Like Cool Software!

I'd also be interested in hearing reviews from people who have used it, especially with the 7x5 series.

I have used the Nuvi Editor on my 200 and it works as advertised. You can extract the Favorites, modify them and then put them back. The problem is the existing favorites are not overwritten and you cannot delete entries. If you have an entry 'Home' and extract the favorites, when you write them back you have Home and Home(2). Which means you have to go in through the Nuvi screens and edit them all over again deleting the duplicates and changing names.

I use it at work on occasion when I need to load something up. But I use GEEPEEX at home(Licensed to individual machines). Its a bit more advanced tho.

Don't pass on the program because of the inability to delete favorites. It's not a problem with the package, it's a Garmin limitation. They do not have an accessible link to delete favorite entries using an outside program.

Delete Favorites first

What I do is delete all the Favorites on the Nuvi before I send them back from the software. That way, there are no duplicates. Sure would be nice if Garmin added the ability to delete or overwrite Favorites from software control, though.

easily done

Funny you would say that, I just deleted a bunch of favorites through the software interface on the little touch screen last night.

Tap where to? Tap favorites. Pick a favorite. Tap edit. Tap delete. Bye bye favorite.
