Windshield suction mount

I just lick my fingers and rub on the rubber cup. Mine has never fallen off. Your mileage may vary.

cosmic does that leave a nasty residue on your windshield? Licking only seems to work for a while for me in AZ. Sounds like a good idea.

Haven't tried it with this suction cup, usually just set the GPS in the cup holder, but I've smeared a drop of cooking oil on the smaller suction cups on the house windows. Seems to hold for a pretty long time. Will leave a oily spot especially if you use too much but generally wipes off rather easily.

Just a suggestion.

Keeping the window clean is a big help....You just have to do that once in awhile

I have to keep the window and the suction cup clean...as I have to move the suction cup from vehicle to vehicle to use for work as well as home.

It's very weak glue; will clean easily off of durable surfaces.

Does it fall off when the suction cup gets old? Mine is solid when it is on.

I had a window mount that stuck like glue and was using it until I started reading about theft of GPSs because of the suction cup ring on the window.

I then started using one of my cup holders to keep the GPS in close proximity to use it but it isn't in the field of view. A friend has a bean bag on his dash and I think this was the best of both worlds - in the field of view and totally removable with no evidence to would be thieves.

then again, mine has fallen off twice and i've only had it for two weeks.
