Not able to see POIs on my Nuvi 265t

I have tried installing POI and bitmap files to my Nuvi 265t following the instructions found at http://www.poi-factory.com/node/4359 as well as other directions. I'm still not able to see the POIs on my unit. I've tried using the POI Loader to completely remove the files and reloading several times with no success. Any suggestions?

If you are trying to view them on the map, you probably aren't zoomed in closely enough.

On many models, you must be zoomed in to 300 (or even 200) feet or closer in a 2D (not 3D) map mode in order for them to show up on the screen. and on some models you must also be browsing the map.

They should, however, show up in your menus under Where to? > Extras > Custom POIs

grin I am able to see the POIs in the Custom POIs menu. At this point I'm not sure of zooming in close enough to see the images. I do know that proximity alerts that I have set in a few of the files are not working properly.
