Car shape icons on Magellan

Can we change the icon which gives our present location on Magellan 5310? If not, is it possible to connect a USB cable and change the .bmp or whatever type of file that icon belongs to forever by replacing it with a new one?

Thanks,
Morpheus

Sorry, no

Might lead you somewhere. Pay attention to those folks who have "killed" their GPS while hacking around in the software !!

No

Us Magellan users do not get the custom icons, vehicles, or sounds. The 5310 does announce the category of what the custom POI is in. I have the traffic camera file separated into categories of Red Light Cameras, Speed Cameras, Mobile Cameras, Freeway Cameras, and School Zones. Having all those categories makes the 5310 announce which one the upcoming camera is in instead of just the one category for all cameras if you leave it all in one. I think the lady saying "Freeway Cameras" is better than just a sound.
