I have a Garmin Nuvi 255 and just loaded the POI file "Complete State Parks Combined List for the USA" CSV file from the POI Factory (Using POI Loader)onto my Garmin. In the Garmin the file ends up being located in my "Extras" file and is named "Custom POI". Is it possible to have the file called "State Parks" (which is what the CSV file is called) instead of "Custom POI" when using the Garmin? Any information someone can provide would be appreciated.

No, it isn't
Unfortunately, that is the name of the folder in the Garmin to place the POI files. If you have more than one file loaded, You will see the different titles listed in that folder, but you cannot change the folder name.

Thanks
Thanks for the info.
No Problem
That's what we're here for. Just wish it could have been the one you wanted.

When the "Custom POIs" name comes up the screen after hitting "Extras" , click on this "Custom POIs" name and all of your installed POIs names will be displayed.
On my Nuni 200, I have about 20 different .csv POI's along with .BMP and .WAV POI's and they all show using this method.
Going on a 1600 mile trip in my RV and have Rest Areas; Campgrounds; Elk lodges; Costco and Flying J gas; red light and speed areas; etc., all programed into an external SD 4 GB card. By the time I leave next week I will find and install more. Can't have too many.

Since you can have items under Extras other than just Custom-POIs, it is necessary to have a category labeled Custom-POIs. However, under that category you can have categories such as "State Parks", etc. See this method:
You can have subfolders under your main folder, if you want. The folders will create categories. You can't have more than one level of subfolder. The files themselves will create the subcategory.
For example, it might look like this.
> My POI (Main folder)
>> IHOP (subfolder)
... IHOP.csv
... IHOP.bmp
>> National Parks (subfolder)
... National Parks.gpx
... National Monuments.gpx
... National Recreation areas.gpx
... National Parks.bmp
... National Monuments.bmp
etc.
In this example, IHOP and National Parks show up as categories and then under National Parks, the subcategories of National Parks, National Monuments, and National Recreation Areas show up.
Here are some screenshots of what it would look like.
This is a shot of the folder and files on my computer.

This is how the first level shows up on my Zumo.

When I select the National Parks category, this is what I get.

Then if I select National Monuments, I get this.

One thing I have started to do is build combined POI files for things such as fuel stops. I take the major ones, Flying J, Petro, T/A, Pilot, Love's and others and combine them into one large file. I don't alert the large file, and keeping the input files separate makes it easier to update. I then only have to select the combined file when looking for a close by station. It saves having to tap each one to see who is close.

On my 200w I rename the gpx file all the time. Right now I have 12 gpx files in my extras folder. I rename so the next time I add new poi's the old ones aren't erased.

I'm sure that you meant to say that you rename your gpi files, but there is a way to achieve the same thing without renaming. See ScrugneysGunDogs' method in http://www.poi-factory.com/node/17095 . All the advantages of renaming without actually having to do so.
