TomTom shows POI on a map

I like TomTom showing POIs on a map, but when i point on a POI on the unit's screen, it automatically opens a main menu. When I browse a map on my computer using TomTom home and point a POI on a map I see details about it on the computer screen. Is there a way to see a POI related info without searching for it?

POI Info

When POI's show up on the map screen they appear as icons. Click/touch the icon and a brief description will appear - usually name, address and telephone number and/or other data (whichever is indicated).

What you'd like I don't think is currently possible, at least I haven't seen it. That doesn't mean that it can't be done. Try looking here: www.tomtomforums.com for some more insight regarding your specific TomTom model and what you'd like to have it do.

I have a One NE myself. smile

Touching the map in the Tomtom interface allways brings up the menu, but you can get the POI info of the ones you see around you by selecting Browse Map (from the same menu). The POI icons will be clickable, and the info will show up on a dialog box a-la Google Maps.

Hope this helps,
