Sorry if this has been covered but I have a few questions. I did do some reading but missed the answers if they were covering in this forum.
1. What is the largest (meg/gig) SD card I use can use in my C340? -- I have the newest update to the garmin firmware.
2. My C340 has the NT 2008 map pre-loaded, if I purchase the 2009 update does it replace the internal MAP on my Garmin? I don't think it does but not sure.
I believe if I purchase the update I need an SD card to use it correct?
Thanks in advance for the help.

I loaded the 2009 update from a disc to the computer then using mapinstall loaded every map available to an 2 gb sd card, now the unit sees both 2008 and the 2009 and I've alternated use of either maps.
Thanks so much for the
This is a great place for info....

It wasn't said so I'll just add that you can't see anything but maps on the SD card when using in a C340.
No POI's, pictures, songs, etc.
Not sure why you would want to load the two maps, with one being more up to date than the other.
Maybe LMChu will point out a few uses.

Can I replace the pre-loaded internal Map NT 2008 with the 2009 update? I agree I would not need two maps.
Thanks,
John
The 2009NT update
The 2009NT update will do it's magic and just replace the old version . I had absolutely no problem updating with the 2009NT on my C340.
No SD card is required for update on the C340

Another vote for direct update
My Dad wouldn't trust the 2009 map upodate, so initially I downloaded the 2009 update onto an SD card and he used the new maps for a month. After that he asked me to get it directly installed on the C340 and it overwrote the 2008 maps on the C340. Everything worked without a hitch.
