Red light cameras/manhattan

Living in Manhattan, we get frequent red light camera alerts near Houston St. This surprises me, since I did not think that the city used such cameras. I was wondering how I might verify if they are "real." And, since most of my life is spent as a pedestrian, how I wish that Manhattan actually used red light cameras.

TIA

Check out this page for examples of cameras. If they aren't present, you can report them to Miss Poi.

How does one save the red light alerts

Hi
Driving along Canal Street on Saturday I noticed what I thought were several incorrect red light camera alerts. However, I did not know how to save the alert that I got so I could check later. So is there any simple way to save the location of dubious cameras so I can check out for sure next time and then send a reasonable notification? I hate to send people on wild goose chases. And I doubt that MsPoi wants mail like "check out Canal St. in Manhattan."
Thanks

which street?

Were you crossing broadway or 6th?

I have just had all of NY visually verified by one of our members, you may want to make sure you have the latest copy of the file installed.

There have been a lot of changes to the file in the last week or two and there were camera locations removed on Canal ST.

Go ahead and send me an email with the details and I will check it out.

42nd and 2nd Ave.

I know for sure there is a camera at 42nd and 2nd Ave. I've seen the flash go off, and quite amusingly, all taxis stop when the light turns red, as tourists sail through!
