Jungle Jim's weekend of fire... Hotsauce and hot foods vendors from all over the country will be showing off their wares...

The Pepper Place has a Horseradish that's called "Nasal Napalm". They warn you BEFORE they open the jar "DO NOT BREATHE IN THRU YOUR NOSE, WHEN WE OPEN THE JAR". They do that because it will literally open hte flood gates on your sinus cavities and you'll have snot running out your nose. Also, they serve the horseradish on toothpicks it's so hot.

I love their Black Bean and Corn salsa, and their Pepper and Onion relish (mixed with cream cheese).

Oh, and I was just at their Gatlinburg place this weekend, and the owners are in Myrtle Beach right now negotiating for their 3rd location (the 2nd one in Myrtle Beach). I'll be in Myrtle Beach in November, if it's open, I'll send an update and it's coordinates.

I love hot things, so this POI would be very awesome! Unfortunately I don't know of any specialty places myself, but I will definitely use the file!

Tried to install the new version of the file and I got a message saying there was an error at LINE 34 and that the rest of the file would be chopped off below that point. (Using POI Loader 2.52) So, I went back to an older version of the file. You might want to check the file out.

Pressler's Meat Market has a few good HOTT sauces. They have the hot stuff called JACK ASS and then it moves on to DUMB ASS, KICK YO ASS and THE SCORPIONS STING which is hott and has a good taste.I need to find a better place though with hotter and more better tasting sauces. I did try this stuff called 357 and wow that was way too hott. If You have any places in AKRON OHIO please let Me know. This is a cool POI.

Michael, yes it is still open. When I was in town, my favorite place was Heather's Heat and Flavor located in the Hudson First and Main shopping center and in Legacy Village, both are in the POI file. Try the Xochitl Habanero Salsa and if you go online you can buy the Xtreme Thang from http://www.dunkshotsauce.com/

The "Checkered Pig" (because of the NASCAR racing heritage) is the name of their 2nd restaurant & also the name of their award-winning BBQ team that enters (and wins) BBQ contests & trophies all across America. Although not normally thought of when talking about HOT stuff, their Habanero sauce is pretty warm. The Tabasco Country Store in Avery Island, LA is a great side trip and the tour of the plant is free.
