That's what I was looking for. I couldn't seem to find the right thread before. Do you know if this is complete? I was wondering if there are any hidden fields that no one posted? Like if there is also a or something?

GPX Manual

For some really light razz reading, there is always the GPX Developer's Manual: http://www.topografix.com/gpx_manual.asp

Note that this statement:

The comment (<cmt>), description (<desc>), link (<link>), Symbol ( <sym>), Display mode (<gpxx:DisplayMode>), and Categories (<gpxx:Categories>) can be viewed in appropriate fields when you open the GPX with MapSource. They currently are not utilized by your GPSr.

is too simplistic. Some of them are utilised, others have a profound effect, even if it's not what you would expect!.
The effects and usage vary by device and POI Loader version.

The reason why I am inquiring, I found a glitch with POI Loader and nuvi 350 that duplicates my text field. It seems that when I load a gpx file with POI loader, it copies all the text from the cmt field and populates the desc field so it repeats twice in the unit. I found now that I can type 250 characters in the first then another seperate 250 characters in the field and it will display on the nuvi as a continued field. So now I can actually utilize 500 characters in a tour guide. I was wondering if there are any other codes that will be beneficial?

Thanks

This is one of the recently introduced (undocumented/unacknowledged) changes to POI Loader V2.5.2. It's not currently compatible with Mapsource!

You're right, POILoader is now giving access to the Comment AND Description fields in the .gpi file. The slight snag is that Mapsource writes the same information into both <cmt> and <desc> fields sad
