GTM 20 Traffic Receiver! Are my eyes deceiving me???

 

Ok, now that the initial shock is over. I am wondering if any of you knowledgable folks can explain to me why this traffic receiver costs $214.27 at the Garmin site???

That is nearly twice the cost of the MSN receiver and nearly the cost of a Nuvi at a good price with a traffic receiver included. Please help me understand this if you can.

It shows as $209.99 at Staples and $179.99 at J&R. Wow. That's pretty steep. Never knew. As you said, I will take better care of this.

Not to forget that when you activate it, online for sure, you are offered an extra 6 months for $9.95

The Service is also cheaper per year (And you can buy a lifetime membership)
