I have a nuvi350 and my card

I have a nuvi350 and my card is good for JPEGs MP3s# & POIs. I suspect yours is too.
Put a directory called JPEG and one named MP3 in the root directory of the SD card and some MP3s in the MP3 directory and you should then be able to see them intermingled with the ones in internal memory when you go to play MP3s or at least thats what I did.

Muaic & Pictures

I think you are not correct. I have a 360 and have lots of MP3 music on a 2 GB chip. Surely the 660 has the same capability as the 360. It may be you can't mix pictures and music on the same chip but I would think not. I have a chip for pictures and one for music.

The picture chip I use to see my camera chip better so I can edit it. ----------Earl Leeson

Nuvi 660 memory card

Dan-

I have a Nuvi 660 and I have a 2 gig sd card full of mp3's which the Nuvi plays just fine. I enjoy listening to the MP3's on long trips thru the radio or from the headphone jack and it is great that the nav directions interrupt the music plaback.

I would suggest getting an

I would suggest getting an iPod for your Music and let the nuvi just do your Navigation. I've noticed that once something becomes an all in one product it's main focus starts to deteriorate in performance.

SD Card in 660

The card will hold anything, photos, mp3s, poi files, etc. Just make sure you place them in the correct location on the card per Garmin instructions. I have over 1 GB of music on my card and it plays great. This is a nice feature as the 660 will pause the music to announce driving directions. Same with a paired bluetooth phone - music, etc. pauses when you are on the phone (whether you made the call or received the call).

nuvi 660

Music Files to SD Card

When I connect my 660 to my PC, two accessible drives appear on the computer. One is the internal Nuvi 660 memory, and the other is the SD card. To copy mp3 files I simply use "My Computer" in Windows to navigate to the SD card and copy the mp3 folders (each folder represents a music CD) to the SD card. After removing the Nuvi 660 from the computer, the mp3 player will find the music. I've also done this with a Mac computer and it works fine.

thanks will try it today
